Former HOKAFI cat Rufey with dog sister Ellie  RUFEY WAS ADOPTED MARCH 2017

Rufey is such a perpetual motion machine that he’s virtually impossible to get an unblurred picture of. No sooner do I get the shot framed and start to press the shutter than he moves. Thought you might like to see this rare moment.   Barb

SQUEAKERS ADOPTED MARCH 2017

Everything is going well with Squeakers.  Overall, it takes her about two days to get used to anything we introduce her to, regarding new rooms of the house, new people, etc.  She's a very, very sweet girl, and really likes attention, just on her time, which I'm exactly the same way so I get it. I was nervous at first because everyone kept telling us how shy she might be, but she seems very happy, and very comfortable.  As a child I grew up with cats in the house, and Squeakers is probably the coolest cat I've ever met.  She has a quirky, spunky personality.  I've almost always had fish tanks, most of the cats I grew up with would try to get into them all the time, but she just watches our 7 goldfish swim around.  She loves snuggles, and with how soft she is, I can't resist them either.  She's a great fur-baby to start our family with.  Thank you and all of HOKAFI for taking care of her until we found her, she's a blessing to our home.  Every day it's a new surprise with her, and we look forward to loving her for years and years to come.  Rebecca and Michael

INDY WAS ADOPTED APRIL 2017

We had a wonderful weekend!! He is such a great dog - he is so loving and sweet and is so well behaved! I took him to the park yesterday and everyone kept commenting not only how cute he is but how well he walks and doesn't bother other dogs. He did so well! He is a perfect little guy.  From Gabrielle after adopting Indy

DREW WAS ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2017

Within 24 hours Drew was comfortable with everything.  He fits right in and is such a great addition to the family.  When her 2 ½ year old daughter chases Drew he will still try to run from her but then lets her win for cuddles.    Wendy

KEONA WAS ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2017

Keona is adjusting very well and treats her rabbit like a sibling. Rachael said that her skin issues are getting better slowly and the vet said it could take up to six months. She is a snuggle baby. Rachael is very thankful and so glad that they found each other.

LOLITA WAS ADOPTED FEBRUARY 2017

Thank you so much for bringing Luna (no longer Lolita) to our home.  It has been a very easy transition.  She is living large!  She loves to go on walks and especially loves to lounge on the couch with Abby.  She doesn't seem to care about the cat too much.  She has come out of her shell a little each day and is starting to show her personality.  We are loving her very much!!!  Jennifer

CHARLIE WAS ADOPTED JANUARY 2017

He is doing very well and interested in TV but afraid of ceiling fan.  He is happy and healthy.  I love him and am very happy with him.  Nancy

CYRUS WAS ADOPTED DECEMBER 2016

Cyrus’ favorite pastime is looking out the front window at birds and neighbors.  He has faithfully used his litter box from day one.  He has two scratching posts and loves them.  He seems to know his name and sits nicely to take treats.  We love him!

CHUCKY WAS ADOPTED IN JANUARY 2017

Chucky, now named Ollie, did really well at our house, settled in nicely.  No messes in the house which was a nice surprise.  I thought he might have an accident since it was all new, but he did great.   Met my 2 year old granddaughter today and took treats very gently from her.  He is now settled in to my office and is a perfect gentleman.  Thanks again for bringing him up to us.

Alicia

MIMI IS A SENIOR SPECIAL NEEDS CAT ADOPTED AUGUST 2016
I wanted to give you an update on Mimi because I was very excited about something recently. Mimi has been doing well, getting along just fine. While we are very happy with her I was slightly sad because she is not a cuddle kitty because she can't leave the floor. Recently she has started coming to both me and Sean if we are on the couch and asking to be picked up! She stands up on her hind legs and gets in our face until we pick her up, then she lays on us for a while letting us pet her. When she is ready to be put down she meows and we help her get down. I can't even put into words how happy and loved this makes me feel, just another sign that we were meant to find her and be her forever home. We are so happy she has come into our lives! Also, everyone who has come to visit our house always just falls in love with her and her wobbly walk. I thought you might like to know all this and that she is doing great here.
Thanks again,
Kristen

ZEUS WAS ADOPTED DECEMBER 2016
Zeus is doing GREAT! He's such a sweet boy and is adjusting to his new home very well. I've attached a photo of one of his two favorite spots...on Emmaline's arm when she is doing homework on her computer. His other favorite spot is up under the crook of her arm curled up against Emmaline's chest. Zeus really likes the rest of us, but he LOVES Emmaline. She is definitely his favorite. He's really funny. We love his personality. He's becoming less skittish with noises and movements and really exploring the three floors of our house. He's gone to the bathroom in the litter box every time and after three days his appetite adjusted. Now he cleans his plate right away. Zeus sees our vet tomorrow, so we can ask her about the quanity of food he needs. He seems very happy. Funniest thing is if Emmaline isn't in bed by 930 PM Zeus roams the house meowing while looking for her until she's in bed for him to snuggle next to. That's where he sleeps, curled up touching Emmaline.? ?

BORDER COLLIE MIX SKY ADOPTED DECEMBER 2016
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Sky is doing wonderful. He has settled in (like he lived here for years). He has had no accidents in the house. Ivy and he play like crazy, then calm down. He is definitely a snuggler! We went out to my sister in law's last night for a couple of hours and he did great being home alone with Ivy. Next week, my sister in law is bringing their dog for New Year's Day and we'll see how he does with him.  Let everyone know that Sky is definitely enjoying his new home.
