Lucretia's Story

Lucretia was found as a stray by the Lancaster SPCA in March of 2023 and came to us in June 2025 when they had air conditioning issues and is still looking for the right place to call home. She is unsure of new people at first and takes a bit more time with men. She will need a family that can help give her time to adjust. Even though she can be unsure of new people and things at first, she is super food motivated and loves playing with toys so this helps her get used to people more.

Lucretia is an 2-year-old girl about 50 lbs. She is super playful and loving once given the time to be comfortable in her new area. We are also working on better walking manners as she pulls. She is also getting a bit more comfortable with male presence around her and is learning that good things come from them too.

Since she takes a longer time to get comfortable with things that are new, she would need a home that has patience with her, kids older than 13 or no kids, and does best beside male dogs in our adjoining play yards. She should be an only pet.
